Originally mentioned in the Illuminatus! trilogy by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson, though the name could, theoretically, refer to any of the related cults (the Brothers of The Yellow Sign are often considered to be the same as the Cult). The cult is mentioned, though they do not actually play a part of the tale.

A cult opposed to the Illuminati that worship cthulhoid entities known as lloigor.
[edit] What are their methods?
They apparently commits human sacrifice, and have strived throughout history to suppress rationalism (The Illuminati being particularly rationalist). It has been suggested that one of their methods of doing so was by establishing every religion on earth, though this seems unlikely. Irrational even.
