Lake Hali
From The Yellow Site
Lake Hali is a misty lake found between Carcosa and the city in which The King In Yellow (The Play) is set - Yhtill (or Hastur, depending on interpretation). Carcosa is often seen as being an imaginary or phantom city, yet at certain times it can been viewed across the waters of the lake.
The name Hali apparently originated in Ambrose Bierce's "An Inhabitant of Carcosa" in which Hali is the author of a quote which prefaces the story. It is possible that the Hali referred to is the Urdu poet Maulana Hali. The narrator of the story implies that the person named Hali is now dead (at least in the timeline of the story).
