Streets are referenced repeatedly in the Yellow Mythos.

Four of the stories in The King In Yellow by Robert W. Chambers are given street names as titles, namely:

  • Rue Barrée - Rue, of course, being the French for Street or Road. 'Rue Barrée' equivalent to 'Road Closed' in English; not a name as such but in the story it did serve to identify the street. It also serves as the name of a character.

Although not a street per se, to these can be added:

Of these, Four Winds, First Shell and Dragon Court are referenced in the poem, Bones Beneath The Third Republic.

Another reference to streets in a title occurs in The Streets Of Alar.

Streets also play a major role in The Rest Of Your Life.
